I’m sorry. I’ve been a bad blogger. It has been far too long since my last post. I has certainly not been uneventful. I went to a family reunion over the 4th of July, in Murphy North Carolina. I was gone for a week, and it was the first time since adopting my kids, I had left them. They were not alone. Each day one of my friends or family would come by to make sure their water fountain was full and working. They would get a can of Fancy Feast moist food, and some dry Temptations cat treats. So in effect, they got more food treats, than when I am here. But according to reports that I got, they were both unhappy campers. Chester would not come out from under the bed when people were here. Even when Robin, who comes every week, and is usually the receiver of a bunch of his cat antics, tried to coax him out, the only concession he would make is to come to the edge of the bed. Frosti, who is usually a slut for affection, would sit under a chair or table and watch the goings on, from a distance. Although, once the people left, it was PARTY TIME! Each day the caretakers would be greeted by toys strewn from one end of the apartment to the other. There was rumors they invited the neighborhood cats over when the people were gone. No two cats could make that much of a mess.
Upon my return, it was sort of like the commercial where the guy gets a compliment on his boots, and he says “Their not boots, their my cats.” If you haven’t seen it, check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWKPEYKKXSA. It is really cute. I think my favorite was when Chester would take a running jump into my lap, lay his head on my shoulder, and put his arms around my neck. I am not exaggerating. He did it about fifteen times that first day. I still get about three or four hugs a week, and look forward to each one. I love to share a picture of it, but I am too busy holding him, and returning to the hug.
I don’t usually post a video in my blog, but I got a new cell phone and happened to catch a wrestling match between my kids. Somehow the lighting and the phone’s camera gave Chester “laser eyes”. It isn’t terminally cute, not overly exciting, but if you are a cat person, it will qualify as cute. It is on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/IVsGdJagC0A
