This post is done, more in the spirit of websites helping each other.  If you don’t want to read my witty and amusing post, you can go directly to it at https://www.reviews.com/cat-food/. For my two little monkeys, they exist primarily on “A Taste of the Wild”, venison and salmon flavor.  Wholly Cats rescue, where I got them, is run by Nancy Ede.  She started them on that and said everything they need is in it.  From time to time, like birthdays,  Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, Wednesday, Thursday, National  Cat Day, all national holidays, foreign holidays and sometimes a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday a special treat is in order.  This might be “juicy food”.  A term the person this site is dedicated to came up with for canned food.  But in baby talk, it somehow morphed into “twosies” pronounced [two-z-ees].  It might be treats, like Temptations, which I still have not been able to get the kids to jump as high as a second story balcony.  Like the cats do in their commercials.  It might occasionally be a table scrap.  I know better, but Frosti is such a good beggar, I cannot always resist.

Like most of you out there, when I am in a store and I see cat things.  I wonder if my kids would like that?  It might be a toy, a flavor but for the sake of this post, let’s talk about different brands of cat food.  One of my readers wrote to compliment my stories and asked me to review an article.  It was a link about brands of cat foods.  It is a well-written review, and they go into great detail on what methods they use to come up with their ranking.  I read the article in its entirety.  My only issue is with their methodology, is the last item.

  • History of recalls. We excluded brands that had two or more recalls in the past five years.”

The bigger the brand, the more different flavors of dry and/or canned food they have.  In most recalls that I can think of, it was a specific flavor or two that was affected.  Not the entire product line of the company.  So no big brand name companies made the list.  That being said, I would recommend that all cat owners should take the time to read it.  It is at https://www.reviews.com/cat-food/.  After a big meal, a nap in crook of daddy’s arm is always in order.
